At Lakeside Dental, we are committed to your child’s total health!

Beginning with the first dental visit at the age of one, we emphasize the need for early prevention (when the teeth first begin to appear, to promote healthy teeth and gums, and to monitor chewing, digestion, and speech development). Our objective is to build a comfortable and trusting connection with you and your kid that will lead to a lifelong commitment to good dental health.

Parents can help their children prepare by acting out scenarios with them. Please keep in mind that this and subsequent appointments should be treated as routine. This will help you and your child have a more enjoyable and restful stay.

• Count your child’s teeth, and have them count yours.
• Pretend to take pictures of each other’s teeth.
• take your child along with an older sibling or friend when they go for a routine check-up.

This is our first chance to check for cavities and other potential issues. We’ll provide you with advice on how to care for your child’s teeth as well as answer any questions you might have.

Regular dental appointments as your child get older will help them understand appropriate dental care, the link between diet and cavities, and injury avoidance. Every child, we think, has the right to a healthy smile and a lifetime of good dental health.
