at Lakeside Dental in Stoney Creek

At Lakeside Dental, we’re committed to providing accessible, quality oral healthcare to all members of our community. That’s why we’re proud to welcome and support the Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP) — a new federal program designed to make dental care more affordable for eligible Canadians.

What Is the CDCP?

The Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP) is a national program launched by the Government of Canada to help reduce financial barriers to dental care. It provides coverage for a wide range of preventive and essential oral health services through participating dental offices like ours.

How the CDCP Works

Once enrolled, eligible patients will have access to a selection of dental services, with costs covered directly by the program. The plan typically includes:

  • Exams and cleanings
  • X-rays
  • Fillings
  • Extractions
  • Root canals
  • Dentures and other basic restorative care

Coverage levels may vary depending on your household income and personal circumstances. Our team at Lakeside Dental will work with the plan to ensure eligible services are billed directly, so you pay less out-of-pocket.

Who Is Eligible?

To qualify for the CDCP, you must meet the following criteria:

  • No access to dental insurance (public or private)
  • Annual adjusted family net income below $90,000
  • Be a Canadian resident
  • Have filed a recent income tax return

The program is being rolled out in stages. Priority is given to seniors, children under 18, and persons with disabilities. More groups will be eligible as the program expands throughout 2025.

You can apply directly through the Government of Canada website. Applications are typically submitted online or by phone, depending on your eligibility group and rollout schedule. Be prepared with your:

  • Social Insurance Number (SIN)
  • Proof of income
  • Basic personal information

We recommend checking the latest details on canada.ca or contacting us if you need assistance with the application process.
